Controversial Bondage Game Hentai Celebrates Its 20th Anniversary

Bondage Game: Shinsou no Reijou-tachi, a hentai in the genres of Maids, Bondage, Masochism, Humiliation, Futanari and Scat, celebrated its 20th anniversary today in Japan.

Origin

The hentai is based on the eroge Bondage Game ~Shinsou no Reijou-tachi~ (ボンデージ・ゲーム　～深窓の隷嬢達～), a game produced by the developer Ail that was released on January 25th, 2002.

The first animated episode of Bondage Game: Shinsou no Reijou-tachi released on April 25th, 2003. With a total of 2 animated episodes, its bizarre story full of Bondage and slavery came to an end on August 28th of the same year. Pink Pineapple, along with the animation studio ORADA COMPANY, were in responsible for producing this series.

On November 24th, 2009, the distributor Media Blasters released an uncensored and English-dubbed version of this hentai.

Story

Those who are at the top of a zaibatsu, a large Japanese business conglomerate, tend to have eccentric tastes. For one particular executive, his hobby of choice is spending his fortune on women, buying sex slaves. At his luxurious mansion in the most remote of locations, he spends his time training his pets far from prying eyes. An acquaintance of his shares the same pastime, and the two one day decide to compete to see who can train the best sexual servants. At the same time, an amnesiac young lady shows up at the doorstep, not realizing what awaits as the game begins.

Reception

I don’t know how it did in sales in Japan, but I guess it did average.

Overseas hentai was very popular due to its twisted and morbid storyline. However, it was not all good news since, due to the high content of humiliation, misogynistic and scatological scenes, Bondage Game was highly criticized by anime community.

Currently, Bondage Game: Shinsou no Reijou-tachi is considered one of the hardcore hentai series in history.

Trivia

1. In addition to its two animated episodes, Bondage Game features a special episode that shows unreleased scenes based on the eroge.
2. Its special episode was not licensed by Media Blasters, so it is the only one that does not have an uncensored version.
3. A Spanish version of Bondage Game called El juego de las esclavas (The Slave Game) was made and is dubbed in that language.
4. Due to the high content of scatological and dirty scenes, Bondage Game is considered one of the hardcore hentai in history.
5. The exact reason why Bondage Game was not marketed in more countries is unknown. It is thought that its sale in other regions is prohibited.
